Questions
Sidekick only reads the public business information already visible on the Google Maps pages you navigate to yourself. It works at human speed with throttled detail views — no headless browsing, no background scraping, no hidden requests. You stay in control of what you collect and what you do with it.
Everything you collect is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) — it never touches a Shakvaro server. The only time data leaves your device is when you choose to export to Google Sheets, in which case it goes to your own Google account.
No. We never receive the places you save. They live on your machine, and in your own Google Sheet if you export there. Shakvaro only ever sees a license key and an anonymous install ID for licensing, plus optional drift telemetry if you opt in.
Google Maps only (google.com/maps and maps.google.com). There is no <all_urls> permission — Sidekick can't see your browsing history or any other site you visit.
Only if you want to export to Google Sheets. CSV and Excel downloads need nothing — no sign-in, no account. Sheets export uses Chrome's OAuth flow with per-file Drive access, so the extension can only touch sheets it creates or that you explicitly pick.
